Ophelia Jaye

Ophelia Jaye is a Black indie writer from Canada whose stories center on Black female protagonists who experience profound, passionate love.

An avid reader, Ophelia found a renewed love for reading during COVID and took an interest in various reading apps.  But many of her favorite books lacked diversity, which inspired her to start writing. She has since built a strong following on social media and various writing platforms with her stories.

In 2024, she created the Black Indie Writers & Authors server on Discord to create a community of Black creatives to share experiences and provide support to one another.

Her debut novel, Only His, follows a cowboy who falls for a city girl spending the summer in town to complete her graduate studies. This book combines romance with a thrilling ride, and readers will be captivated by the love story of Verity and Noah.
